Matthew Luth, Ph.D. is the Associate Dean, and Herbert and Agnes Schultz Endowed Professor of Management at Valparaiso University. For the past 16 years, he has taught ethics, leadership, human resources, strategy, and organizational behavior courses. Matt has a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the University of Kansas and a B.S. in Biological Systems Engineering from the University of Nebraska. Matt is a Certified Master in The Leadership Challenge (TLC). He has taught the TLC workshop to MBA students, Fortune 500 companies, and executives at non-profit agencies throughout the Midwest.
Matt's research has been published in top journals including the Journal of Business Ethics, Psychology of Sport and Exercise, International Journal of Stress Management, and Human Resource Management Journal.

Before his academic career, Matt was an environmental engineer for a multinational consulting firm in Kansas City, MO. His primary responsibilities were stormwater management, wetland design, and project management. Matt lives in Valparaiso, Indiana with his wife, Jessica, and two sons, Jack and Sam. As a family, they run a non-profit called, Pay-it-Forward Valpo that assists single parents and their families.
